Wednesday May 13th will go down as one of the best school days of the year so far. The weather smiled on us and the boys got to enjoy a huge range of activities.
The planning for this day goes back around two months when the committee sat down and started to plan the week. We wanted to try something that hadn't been done before and try to get the whole school out of the classroom and into the parks and halls around the area.
Yesterday was the culmination of this process. We had coaches from Handball, Rounders, Hurling, Gaelic football, Basketball, Soccer, Table tennis and Cricket to give their expertise in taster sessions for the boys. As well as that, the boys did rugby, penalty shoot-outs, dodge ball, olympic handball, frisbee, co-operative games and badminton. The infants went down to Albert College Park and spent the day down there rotating between 8 different stations and had great fun in the sun.
We would like to sincerely thank all in Johnstown Park for making it fully available to us on the day, St. Kevin's for allowing us use of their fabulous hall for the day and all the coaches who gave of their time to be there with us on the day.
There were literally hundreds of photos taken during the day so what appears below is just a sample of what went on. We will post as many as possible on this site so keep checking over the next few days for further additions.
